The possibility for all British employees to request flexible working time will not come into force in April as anticipated. Corporate managements are delighted with this delay, as they are afraid that they will be weighed down under more or less realistic requests. Yet, HR managers could be winners with this novelty, according to the CIPD HR organization.
British HRDs are relieved: the new law allowing all workers to request a flexible schedule will not come into effect in April as it had been announced (see article No. 130799). “It is expected that Royal Assent will be achieved by 21 March 2014.
