More and more “cut price action.” Of the 4,336 ballots organised in the last five years for industrial action, in 87% of cases workers have answered the strike question in the affirmative, and the industrial action short of strike question in the affirmative in 94% of cases. Thus, not only do the majority of ballots record positive responses but positive responses to both questions. However, only 18% of mandates for strikes were implemented. As the government has never collated figures, the comparable figures on the number of incidences of this type of industrial action and what percentage of mandates for the type of action are actually implemented are, unfortunately, not available.
