Office space and desks just behind the hair care or the cereals aisles? This is a new idea that Tesco is testing in May in one of its London supermarkets as it partners with the office management company IWG, and extracts some benefits from the hybrid work boom in a move that could subsequently be developed throughout the country if it proves successful.
Over the next few weeks, Tesco’s New Malden supermarket in South London will rent 353m2 (3,800 square foot) in-store flexible workspace to the ‘move-in-ready’ workspace specialist company IWG.
