Great Britain: the TUC is strongly opposed to limiting immigration from Bulgaria and Romania.

As the wave of workers coming from Eastern Europe – 600 000 people since 2004 – is causing worries to the British society, the trade union confederation TUC, during its annual congress, officially updated its optinion. It is firmly opposed to restricting immigration from Bulgaria and Romania, next in line for the entry in the European Union. The government had not totally ruled out this possibility in order to restrain the influx of new immigrants. (Ref. 06896)
