The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has launched an inquiry on the working conditions of temporary workers. The TUC considers that they are among the most badly treated in Europe. (Réf. 06279)

According to the TUC, the United Kingdom, is with Hungary and Ireland, the only one of the 20 European countries for which data is available, not to pay temporary workers as well as employees with a permanent contract. Of the 24 EU countries (no data available for Cyprus), only the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden and Finland do not impose specific legal rules to temporary work agencies.
