Wages in Great Britain have increased at their weakest rate in three years for the negotiations period surrounding New Year's day, according to a study conducted by the specialized cabinet Industrial Relations Services (IRS). (Réf. 06298)
According to IRS, which studied 150 renegotiations of contracts and increases within British companies, wages increased by 2,8% on average, between December 2005 and February 2006, with increases between 2,4% and 3%. The last time that wages increased at this weak rate was in March 2003. More than half (57%) of the increases negotiated over the period considered are lower than over the same period a year before. 22% are comparable, whereas only 21% are in increase.
