James Purnell, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, announced increased funding for the Access to Work program for people with mental health issues. The objective is to help them stay in work rather than move onto benefits. (Ref. 080812)

During a speech to the think-tank Social Market Foundation (SMF), last week, James Purnell announced increased funding for the Access to Work program aimed at encouraging sick people stay at work.
