Indian steel giant Tata Steel recently posted job vacancies for heavy earth moving machine operators in the eastern mining state of Jharkhand that were only open to transgender applicants. The company’s transgender recruitment campaign concluded on 21 August. Candidates had to be born between 01 September 1981 and 01 September 2001, and have passed their high school graduation examinations.
