…Inditex: Spanish group signs “trail-blazing” framework agreement with the ITGLWF
On October 4, the Spanish textile company Inditex, which owns Zara, signed an agreement with the International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers' Federation (ITGLWF), in order to guarantee the respect of decent working conditions among suppliers. Presented as "unprecedented" by the federation, the agreement recognized that the international federation is "the global trade union counterpart for workers engaged in the production of textile, garments and footwear" in terms of CSR.
