Members from the Indian union HLEU came to protest, on May 15 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, against Unilever's anti-union practices in India. Their action was supported by the European trade union federation EFFAT and the Dutch union FNV. (Ref. 070437)

Members from the union present within Unilver’s Indian subsidiary (Hindustan Lever Employees Union – HLEU) went to Rotterdam to protest against the multinational company’s behaviour in India, which they judge is violating workers’ rights, notably union freedom.
