International: Société Générale’s and BNP Paribas’ global trade union alliances have defined their working frameworks
On April 14, 56 participants from 16 countries officially launched two global trade union alliances, one each for Société Générale and BNP Paribas. The meeting brought union leaders together from a variety of geographical regions including Africa (Burkina Faso, Cameroons, Guinea), the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia), Europe (France, Italy, Slovenia, Spain) and the Middle East (Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine). Key issues for the coming years were identified and framework documents regulating how these alliances will function and what their objectives will be were also defined.
