The international federation UNI Post and Logistics published its strategic plan for 2008-2011. On the menu for unionization initiatives: the conclusion of international framework agreements, the merger with the International Transport Federation (ITF) and engage in the Post regulatory policy. This plan, adopted by the World Committee of
UNI Post and Logistics which met at the end of July, revolves around six primary
areas of focus:
- Organizing the Multinationals and signing Global Framework
Agreements: the goal is to “press forward” four
multinationals of the sector (DHL, TNT, FedEx and UPS) to achieve global agreements.
The plan specifies that “a global campaign for a global agreement with DHL
should be given top priority.” - Partnership and eventually merge with the International
