Irish employment minister Peter Burke announced on 5 November the launch of the Action Plan to Promote Collective Bargaining 2026–2030. Developed jointly with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) and Ibec, the country’s largest business lobby, the initiative – included in the 2025 government programme – aims to strengthen social dialogue and support wage setting in line with Article 4 of the EU directive on adequate minimum wages.
