During his 2024 budget speech on 10 October, Irish finance minister Michael McGrath announced an increase in the statutory minimum wage, which will take effect from 1 January next year. It will rise from €11.30 to €12.70 gross per hour, an increase of 12%, for employees aged 20 and over.
