The last important measures taken by the Berlusconi government on social matters related to retirement pensions, following the framework law on pensions reform n°243 of 2004 which delegated to the government the adoption of several legislative decrees. (Ref. 06376)
In February 2006, the government adopted a text facilitating the addition of insurance periods, the same way as for European migrant workers. The addition of insurance periods obtained via various pension funds suffered indeed from a series of legal obstacles, that the government eliminated by validating the insurance periods exceeding six months.
