The three-year agreement, from 2024 to 2026, will officially come into force once it has been ratified by the workers’ assemblies. A working time reduction of 12 hours per month at equal pay will be trialled at a selection of test sites, starting in the last quarter of the year and lasting for six months. The working time reduction, the aim of which is to maintain plant productivity while reducing workloads, may be extended to 16 hours a month if the first trial proves conclusive....
Italy: aerospace and defence group Leonardo trials shorter working hours
An agreement signed by Leonardo with the FIOM-Cgil, FIM-Cisl and UILM trade unions paves the way for a reduction in working hours of 12 hours a month without any reduction in pay for technical and manual staff working on site. The agreement, which will apply to the group's 31,000 employees in Italy, also includes improvements in terms of work-life balance and benefits in kind.
