This week will be decisive for the takeover of the Italian airline Alitalia by the consortium of Italian investors, Cai. After the Cai's chair declared the end of social negotiations, the autonomous unions launched, on November 7, a rulebook slowdown, causing important delays in planes' departures. (Ref. 080873)
After refusing to sign the social agreement proposed by the Cai (see our dispatch No. 080848), Alitalia’s five autonomous unions – Anpac and UP for pilots and SDL for flight attendants – reasserted their will to go on with the negotiations.
