Following almost two years of negotiations, Poste Italiane signed a new collective agreement with the Slc-Cgil, Slp-Cisl, Uilposte, Failp-Cisal, Confsal and Ugl trade unions. Penned on 30 November, the new national collective agreement applies to 140,000 workers at the largest Italian company, in terms of the size of its workforce. The agreement applies, retroactively in part, for 2016, 2017 and 2018. It includes a monthly pay rise of 103 euros on average, while trade unions also obtained guarantees on working conditions. The text now needs to be approved by workers.
Wage increases. A lump sum of 1,000 euros will be paid in January 2018, as compensation to cover 2016 and 2017. Furthermore, monthly wages per worker will be increased on average by 103 euros. Of this sum, 81.50 euros per month will be added to increase minimum salary levels, applying in two phases (40 euros in February 2018 and 41.50 euros in October 2018). Company welfare will be bolstered, with the creation of a complementary health insurance scheme, funded entirely by employer contribution
