On 18 May the social partners in the logistics, freight and parcel-shipping sector signed an agreement to renew their national collective agreement (NCA), which covers almost 1 million workers. According to the trade unions, this is the first time in 15 years that all the employers' organizations in the sector - including the cooperative organizations, which are particularly relevant in subcontracting - have signed the same text at the same time. The new collective agreement, runs until 31 March 2024, provides for an average monthly salary increase of €104, and commences consultation on modernizing the text amid structural changes in the sector. The agreement must now be approved by the workers' assemblies.
Salary increases. The agreement signed between the 24 employers’ organizations and the trade unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl and Uilt focuses mainly on economic issues.
