In Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige in northern Italy, the commercial sector unions have made an official commitment to combat discrimination against homosexuals at work. Together with an association that defends the rights of homosexuals, the unions have signed a first of its kind protocol agreement.
Training union members about discrimination against homosexuals is one of the topics in the provisional protocol agreement that has been signed at local level by the commercial sector unions Filcams Cgil-Agb, Fisascat Cisl-Sgb, Uiltucs Uil-Sgk, and Asgb, and also by the Centaurus Association (part of the Arci Gay party).
