Yesterday, March 12, the Council of Ministers approved a decree-law containing emergency provisions to boost employment and make businesses’ obligations simpler, as well as a bill empowering the government to go through with the reform of social dampers, employment policies and labor law.
“Emergency” provisions. Listing the measures of a “hard-hitting strategy for the country’s recovery in terms of competitiveness and domestic demand,” the Council of Ministers of March 12 approved, among other flagship measures, a €10-billion budget to further cut personal income tax for the approximately 10 million people making less than €25,000 gross per annum (the net reduction should be around €1,000 per worker).
