Italy: “egg attacks” against the Cisl and Uil’s headquarters stigmatize the Fiom-CGIL

“Better one egg today than no rights tomorrow.”  This message, written with red nail polish on the gates of the Cisl’s headquarters in the roman quarter of Garbatella, is the “nicest” of the assaults the confederation has recently faced.  From protests with firecrackers, combined with the accusation of “bribed by employers,” autonomous youth against Raffaele Bonnani, Cisl leader, during his speech at the democratic party’s party in September, the Cisl’s headquarters in Treviglio, Livorno, Lecco and Rome received eggs, a few firecrackers, and always insults of the same kind.  This week, “blitzes” intensified.  On Monday night, in Terni (Umbria), after besieging the Cisl’s headquarters, with the message “Uil-Cisl serfs,” for the first time, one of the Uil’s headquarters was also targeted.  The “omelettists” as a commentator called them left eggs at the window with the message: “You’re disgusting; shoot yourselves with these.”
