Recognising new professional profiles linked to renewable energy and digitalisation, boosting workers, employability and recruiting young people: these are the aims of two agreements signed in September by employers' and trade unions' organisations in Italy's electricity sector. The texts apply to some 60,000 employees, including those of giants such as Enel, the country's leading electricity company, and Terna, the grid operator.
The agreements signed on 11 September by employers’ organisations, major companies in the sector and trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Flaei-Cisl and Uiltec are the fruit of the work of two thematic committees set up in 2022. These texts will be integrated into the sector’s collective bargaining agreement, without waiting for its renewal, scheduled for the coming months (the current national collective agreement will expire on 31 December 2024).
