At the end of May, Italy’s two largest banking groups, Intesa Sanpaolo and UniCredit, reached an agreement with the FABI, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca and Unisin trade unions to reduce their working weeks by 30 minutes. From 1 July, full-time employees at UniCredit offices will leave work half an hour earlier on Fridays, with no reduction in pay, while branches will close half an hour earlier.
