Italy: legal proceedings to continue despite court annulling conviction for head of Eternit

In spite of the Court of Cassation annulling the head of Eternit’s conviction (for deaths from environmental catastrophe linked to the use of asbestos) because the sentencing had fallen under the statute of limitations the prosecutor of the Turin 'Super Trial’ together with the asbestos victims associations will pursue legal proceedings this time bringing an accusation of voluntary homicide.
