On September 29, 2008, Assomineraria-Confindustria for employers and Filcem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, Uilcem-Uil for unions signed the agreement for the renewal of the national collective agreement of the mining sector, which came to an end on March 31, 2008. Unions are fully satisfied about the agreement for the renewal of the national collective agreement in the mining sector, which affects around 7.000 employees in approximately 20 firms (including Carbosulcis, Igea, Rio Tinto Minerals Val Chisone).
