In July 2023, the Italian subsidiary of Chicago-based multinational confectionery, food, beverage and snack food company, Mondelez signed an agreement with the Fai-Cisl, Flai-Cgil and Uila trade unions that focuses on themes linked to parenthood, diversity & inclusion, as well as to remote working. It also provides for a €300 boost to the profit bonus, at a time when household consumption is stagnating and competition from both private and discount brands is significant.
The agreement covers 900 employees (i.e. those working at the Milan headquarters, two factory units as well as the sales force teams) and runs until 31 December 2025.

In the agreement several initiatives have been grouped together under the ‘serene parenthood’ policy.
