Disagreements between the negotiators of the new collective agreement for metalworkers are increasing: they mainly concern wages and working time. Judging that the state of negotiations with the employers' confederation Federmeccanica is negative, the main trade union organizations (FIOM-CGIL, FIM-CISL and UILM-UIL), are calling on mobilization. Negotiations on the renewal of the metal sector’s collective agreement– which will cover almost 1.6 million employees – which started a few months ago, could lead to an important conflict.
