The 2025 budget has extended the period of parental leave in which private-sector employees receive 80% of their pay to three months, compared to two months in 2024. Optional parental leave lasts for nine months, with the remaining six months are compensated at 30%. However, the measure will apply on a differentiated basis: only parents who complete their compulsory maternity or paternity leave in 2025 will be entitled to three months’ parental leave paid at 80%, which they will be able to...
