This is the first agreement of this kind in Italy. Apindustria Vicenza for employers and CGIL, Cisl and Uil for unions signed, on June 11th, a protocol encouraging and supervising local collective bargaining (CCL) on issues determined in sectoral national collective agreements, for the province’s industrial SMEs. Affecting over 20,000 workers in the 1,400 businesses affiliated with Apindustria, it also allows the latter to choose between company collective agreements and regional agreements that apply to all the businesses in a sector that are members of the employers’ organization.
