The social partners in local public transport signed an agreement establishing a joint solidarity fund designed to “accompany” restructuring/reorganizing procedures in public and private companies with 15 workers or more, who used to have no social protection when work was temporarily suspended. On July 8, the Filt-CGIL, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, UGL Trasporti and Faisa Cisal unions and the ASSTRA and ANAV employers’ organizations signed the national agreement setting up the joint solidarity fund. This agreement applies Act No. 92/2012 on the creation of joint sectoral funds (see article No. 120432), and “improves and extends” social protection tools compared to what the law provides for.
