Italy: the Council of Ministers approved the Testo Unico on occupational safety

Om April 1, the Council of Ministers approved the legislative decree for the Testo Unico on occupational safety which ends the government's mandate granted by the law 123 of August 3, 2007 (see our article n°070690). Although unions rejoiced, the Confindustria remains critical as to the part concerning tougher sanctions. (Ref. 080264)

“An action due to the Country, on which we tried to build large convergences with social partners and Parliament. It is one of the most advanced texts among Europe and elsewhere” said Cesare Damiano, Minister of Labor, congratulating himself with the permanent approval of the Testo Unico in record time, two months in advance from the end of the government’s mandate. The legislative decree, approved on March 6 by the Council of Ministers (see our article No 080202), received a favorable opinion
