CGIL steelworkers will gather in Rome on 21 November to take part in a national demonstration protesting Matteo Renzi’s government’s policies and putting forward a new different social and economic model. The union is also championing its platform for renewing the national metals’ sector collective agreement following first meetings with the employers’ body on 05 November.
“The government is not listening to the country, it is only paying attention to the strongest financial and economic power units,” accused the country’s largest metals union, Fiom.
