Italy: two key organizations of senior managers join forces

The national federation of managers of manufacturing firms, Federmanager, and the national federation of managers, executives and professionals in trade, transportation, tourism, services and advanced services, Manageritalia, signed, on march 11th, a “historical” agreement which secures their collaboration in terms of managerial representation, culture and presence, labor, social policy, and economic and social development.  “We represent a heterogeneous, dynamic category full of resources: thousands of people who perform, every day, tasks that are vital for the company, the economy and society” said Guido Carella, Manageritalia leader, adding: “We want to increase the value of this human capital, necessary for effective competitiveness and sustainable development.  However, what we mostly want is to spread the merit culture and make the managing class younger.”
