Several initiatives relating to health and security at work were launched lately. These include the official decrees for several laws that were long expected, and money grants for projects that aim at improving prevention. According to specialists, the government is trying to improve its image, a few months before the general elections. (Ref. 06180)

Money grants for prevention. The INAIL (National Institute for the compulsory insurance against accidents and work diseases) has granted 60 million euros to finance several programs designed to improve the prevention of accidents in small firms and in the crafts and agriculture sectors. Companies that wish to participate must submit an application no later than 45 days after February 16th. One can find all the terms and conditions on the web site:
