With the slogan, “What have we done and what remains to be done?”, the Uilm gathered, on February 14-15 in Rome, nearly 200 local union leaders from all Italian provinces as well as the management, representatives from the union Confederation and other guests from “the labor and production world” for an “unprecedented” event n the history of the Uil’s metal union. The aim is to establish a first report since the Congress (see our dispatch No. 100155) on “what was done and what remains to be done” and involve the union’s local leaders every year. It ended on Tuesday with the unanimous approval of the general secretary’s proposal, “improved by about 40 interventions” from local representatives.
