On 16 November, representatives of the European Works Council at Korian, the French company specialising in nursing home care for the elderly, signed a three-year health and safety protocol with the company’s general management. The latest deal follows on from an agreement signed in France earlier this year and is the result of almost a year of negotiations within a dedicated EWC working group. The agreement aims to spread a positive culture of workplace health and safety and to share best practices among the group’s entities in different locations.
Korian was the first private health group to create a European Works Council and two years later it agreed a protocol on preventing accidents at work for all employees on the continent. After a year of talks, the dedicated working group has produced a text (drawn from a charter signed in 2019 by the company), which will be binding for the general management of each country in which Korian operates.
