Latvian government has decided to maintain the amount currently paid by the employers to the wage guarantee institution which protects employees against their company insolvency. (Réf. 06836)
Every private employer has to pay a contribution – 0,25 lats (EUR 0, 34) for month for each employee. This is to secure interests of workers in case employer meets bankruptcy and can’t realize his liabilities, for instance – regular tax payments and salary payments. The Confederation of Latvian employers (LDDK) has protested this decision of government.
