Given what has been considered as a completely outdated legal environment, the government looking to act fast has decided to bring a new ‘social model’ before parliament comprising some 20 legislative regulations in the area of labor law and social security. This model has long been debated within the tripartite council that brings government, trade unions and business leaders together. The government however has been looking to accelerate to process by presenting the model before parliament before complete agreement from union organizations. This decision has led to discontent on their behalf and may herald a difficult autumn.
