Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation (LPSK) approached in writing the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) regarding the government's non compliance to the European Social Charter and wants it to intervene to the EU's Ministers Council. Main concerns are: simplifying of collective action procedure, strengthening of information and consultation. (Ref. 070425)
Addressing ETUC, LPSK claims that though Tripartite Council of Lithuania (social cooperation body) agreed on simplification of collective action procedure (basically reduction of terms) last autumn, nevertheless Minister of Social Affairs and Labour refused to present it to the Parliament. In addition, it criticized the Committee on Social Affairs of the Parliament because it does not put the bill on the Assembly’s table either.
