The Council of government of July 7 adopted a preliminary draft regulation modifying the ruling of July 15, 1988 on the protection of workers against the risks related to an exposure to asbestos during work. (Ref. 6703)

The draft aims at transposing in national law directive 2003/18/EC of March 27, 2003 modifying directive 83/477/ EEC of the Council concerning the protection of workers against the risks related to asbestos at work. The text’s goal is to recentre and to adapt the protection measures for people who are from now on exposed, especially those workers who proceed to the removal of asbestos and those who accidentally meet asbestos at work during maintenance activities.
