On 15 November, the Council of Ministers decided to increase the minimum wage by 2.6% from 1 January next year. This is equivalent to the rise in the average wage over the years 2022 and 2023. The Luxembourg labour code requires the government to submit a report to the Chamber of Deputies every two years on changes in economic conditions and incomes, accompanied, if necessary, by a bill to hike the minimum wage in line with real wages.
