Luxembourg's two main trade union organisations have formalised their cooperation by creating an alliance named 'Union des syndicats OGBL et LCGB'. Through this joint structure, they hope to have a stronger voice in consultations. They have their sights set on the draft laws on Sunday working and the extension of shop opening hours, as well as the reform of collective bargaining, to which they are opposed.
The two nationally representative trade unions in Luxembourg, the OGBL and the LCGB, announced on 20 June the creation of a joint structure, which will be chaired jointly by their respective leaders, Nora Back and Patrick Dury.
