NOM-037, the new telework norm, is now set to enter its public consultation phase, marking the final step prior to its implementation. The text, which complements the Federal Labour Law, aims to regulate telework, and as such specifies the rules applicable to working from home as well as the material conditions under which it should be carried out.
Companies will have to ensure the right safety conditions and well-being of their employees at their place of work when teleworking. Thus the Ministry of Labour and Social Prevention’s new NOM-037 standard that is about to come into force. This regulation is intended to set out the rules for the practice of home-based work and to regulate the material conditions under which it should be carried out. All teleworking employees will have to complete a self-assessment of their working environments
