The constitutional reform, which gradually reduces the statutory weekly working time from 48 to 40 hours without any reduction in salary, was published in the Mexican Official Gazette on Tuesday 3 March. It had previously received unanimous approval from the lower house on 25 February, following the green light from the Senate two weeks earlier.
