In October, ecologists of the Groenlink party submitted a draft law to Parliament, aimed at obliging employees to contribute to child-care fees. It is already the case for 80% of employees, says the Confederation of industry and employers of Netherlands (VNO-NCW). For the VNO-NCW, it would thus be an “unacceptable” encroachment on freedom of negotiation between employers and employees.
