Netherlands: guide published to combat sexual harassment and violence in the workplace

Mariëtte Hamera, the Dutch government’s commissioner responsible for gender-based harassment and sexual violence, has published a new guide to help companies “create a safe working environment” and combat sexual harassment in the workplace. The document focuses on prevention and creating a “lasting cultural change” within organisations. In particular, it supports employers in analysing risks as well as setting up a prevention and action plan and a reporting procedure.
