On 24 April, the Dutch government confirmed the increase in the minimum wage for young people aged 16 to 20, as set out in the 2025 spring memorandum. This document, which contains an update of the budget for 2025 and subsequent years, provides for a gradual increase from 1 January 2027 by age category. The minimum wage for young people aged 20 will rise from 80% to 87.7% of the adult minimum wage (applicable to those aged 21 and over). It will be hiked from 60% to 75% for 19-year-olds,...
