On 9 October, the Dutch government announced that the statutory minimum wage would be increased by 3.75% from 1 January, giving a gross hourly rate of €13.27 for employees aged 21 and over. The fixed monthly, weekly and daily minimum wages will in fact disappear from this date, in favour of an hourly minimum wage, as announced last July.
