After difficult negotiations, a new collective agreement was adopted on January 23rd in the pharmacy sector, which employs 20 000 people. A wage increase of 4.5 % will take place by April 2008. (Ref. 070069)

The Federation of Dutch and Allied trade unions (FNV Bondgenoten) and the Federation of Christian trade unions (CNV) also obtained from the royal Association of Dutch pharmacists (KNMP) an increase of 25 % of the bonus for night-work in pharmacies on duty.
